Your Loved Ones Funeral

This page is shared by Muxton and Lilleshall, so if you have arrived here from the St John’s site, you are in the right place!

A funeral marks the close of a human life on earth. It is the opportunity for those of us who are friends and family to express our grief, to give thanks for the life which has now completed its journey in this world and to commend the person into God’s keeping.

If you are currently planning a funeral we hope that the following information is of some assistance.  If you have just lost a loved one we are aware of how busy your life has suddenly become all in the midst of the grief that you are passing through.  If we can be of help do get in touch with us.

Funerals at St Michael’s and St John’s

Funerals in church are usually taken by Rev Matthew Lefroy, David Pierce or Robyn Evans.

It maybe that you live locally and plan that one of us will be taking a funeral. If this is the case, over the course of the next few days or week, the person who will be taking the funeral will come and visit you. It maybe that you live elsewhere or you are preparing for a funeral further in the future. Whatever your circumstance, we hope that you find information here that is of help to you.

We have produced a pre-funeral pack, containing everything you need to know about organising a funeral. There is an explanation of the different parts of the service, funeral arrangements, burials and cremations, memorial stones, care after the funeral and a guide to choosing the details of your service such as readings and hymns or songs.
