Our Services

A typical service at St John’s

Every Sunday we at least one service at 11am, and often a second choice of service too. If our service times or styles do not suit you, take a look at the services at our sister church, St Michael’s Lilleshall.

Below you will find more information on the different types of services at St Johns, and the weeks on which they usually happen. To see a list of this month’s services, click here.

You’re very welcome to join us at St John’s for any of our services. We meet each Sunday:

From 8:15am for Good Morning Sunday (except fifth Sunday in the month).

Breakfast from 8.15 am, the Sunday papers, conversation, prayer and reflection.  On a busy Sunday, start the day with God and be fed and ready to go by 9:15! Informal, conversational and relaxed.

At 11am for Worship

Our services are informal, family friendly and last about an hour. There are groups provided for children and young people (except the second Sunday in the month, which is an All-Age service). As well as modern worship songs, our service includes time for prayer and a talk on how we can apply the Bible’s teaching to our lives today.  Services on the fourth Sunday of the month include Holy Communion.

Join us for tea and coffee after the service

After the service tea, coffee and juice are available.  We meet in a modern church building, and the service has a modern feel – songs and responses are projected on screens, those leading the services wear “normal” dress rather than clerical robes, and we have a relaxed, friendly approach to worship.

And at 9:30am on the second Sunday of the month there is a 45 minute service of Holy Communion.
