Every Sunday we have a service at 11am. Once a month there is also a 9.30am reflective Holy Communion service. If our service times or styles do not suit you, take a look at the services at our sister church, St Michael’s Lilleshall.
Below you will find more information on the different types of services at St Johns, and the weeks on which they usually happen. To see a list of this month’s services, click here.
Morning Worship – 1st and 3rd Sundays, 11am
On the first and third Sundays of the month, there is a “Morning Worship” service. These usually include, music (mostly modern songs, with perhaps one traditional hymn); prayers; readings and a talk. There is a creche for pre-school children, and a range of groups for those of school age. After the service tea, coffee and juice are available. We meet in a modern church building, and the service has a modern feel – songs and responses are projected on screens, those leading the services wear “normal” dress rather than clerical robes, and we have a relaxed, friendly approach to worship.
Holy Communion – 4th and 5th Sundays, 11am
On the fourth and fifth Sundays of the month, we have a service of Holy Communion. In addition to the elements of our Morning Worship services, we share bread and wine together.
Church Praze – 2nd Sundays, 11am
The second Sunday in the month is our all-age “Church Praze” service. There are no children’s groups, but everyone joins in a shorter service of music, prayers, activities and a short talk. This service is particularly geared towards families.
9.30 am Reflective Holy Communion – 2nd Sundays
On the second Sunday in each month, there is also a service of Holy Communion at 9:30am. This is a quieter, more reflective service with one song or hymn and a short talk. There are no groups for children during this service.
