Robyn talks to us about ‘The Great Commission’ Matthew 28:16-20.

Romans 6:4 –  We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Colossians 2:11-12 – In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

Ephesians 4:4-5 – There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

Matthew 3:11 –  ‘I baptise you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John 4:2 – although in fact it was not Jesus who baptised, but his disciples.

1 Corinthians 1:17 –  For Christ did not send me to baptise, but to preach the gospel – not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

Luke 23:43 – Jesus answered him, ‘Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.’

Acts 2:38 – Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 10:44 – While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message.

Mark 16:15-16 – He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Matthew 19:14 – Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’
