11am MORNING WORSHIP: A warm welcome to our service this morning led by Rich. Today Jon talks to us about ‘David and Mephibosheth’  2 Samuel 9:1-13 and Luke 14: 15-24.

PRAYERS:  Please continue to pray for Gillian Hornby, family and friends at this        difficult time as they come to terms with the sad loss of John.  John’s funeral is to take place on Tuesday 12th September 11am at St Michael’s followed by refreshments at the Memorial Hall. (Crem service for family only).  For those attending the service please wear something colourful avoiding mainly black, as we celebrate that John is now at peace in God’s arms.

DO YOU HAVE YOU A SPARE SMARTPHONE? The church is trialling a payment card reader. It would be useful to have a spare Smartphone to assist with accepting the payments. If anyone has an old one in a drawer at home and is willing to   donate it,  please speak to Lesley, John or Simon Hartridge. It does not have to be in perfect condition. A cracked screen is fine.

SUNDAY MORNING ROTAS: It is time to redo our Sunday morning rotas and we need more people to volunteer for Sidesperson, coffee and chairs.  Please sign the sheet on the welcome desk if you are able to help in any way. Thank you.

DO YOU BUY YORKSHIRE TEA? St Michael’s are collecting the bar codes from boxes of Yorkshire Tea Bags. This project is being coordinated by the Newport Rotary Lite club and used to buy wheelchairs via the Wheelchair Foundation UK.
