9.30am ALL AGE HARVEST SERVICE: Today we welcome Andrea Sheppick as our harvest speaker with the focus on Tearfund. Tearfund is a Christian charity with a mission to “help communities around the world escape the very worst   effects of poverty and disaster”. Both St Michael’s and St John’s give regular financial support to Tearfund through their weekly giving as well as responding to the various disaster response appeals. Mathew 5:1-12 and John 6:1-15

6.30pm HOLY COMMUNION (BCP): A warm welcome to our service this       evening led by Rich. Hosea 9:1-9 and  Matthew 14:1-12

WORLD CHURCH – PRAYERS: Please pray for victims of the recent hurricanes in America and also the victims of the devastating floods in Asia. Nearer to home pray for bewildered refugees who may be settling into new schools alongside our own children and grandchildren. ‘Baking a Difference’- a fundraising event sponsored by Tearfund further details coming soon.

ST MICHAEL’S PCC meets next TOMORROW evening 7.30pm in church.

You are invited to St Michael’s to  POP IN FOR COFFEE this Thursday (21st) between 10am-12noon all very welcome.

PARENTALK is a great course that covers essential topics for parents of      children aged 4 to 11 years…it helps mums and dads do the best job they can at bringing up their children.  This course takes place over 6 Thursdays beginning this Thursday (21st) 8pm at St John’s Church.   Leaflets available in church and please call the Office to book your place 670033.

LADIES BREAKFAST: Let somebody prepare your breakfast and enjoy some     fellowship with friends on Saturday 23rd September 8.45am at St Michael’s Guest speaker is Gill Banks who will be speaking about ‘Faith on the Street’s.  Tickets £5 each available from Chris R 604330 or Lesley in the office 670033.

SHARED LUNCH:  Johnny and Beth Hibbert-Hingston are our guest speakers on Sunday 24th September.  They will be staying after the service at St John’s for a shared lunch.  Please put your name down if you are intending to join us for lunch to help with catering. (approx 12.15/12.30pm).

CARE HOME FRIENDS:  Would you like to make a difference in the lives of local care home residents? There is an information afternoon at Hinstock Manor Care Home, Chester Road, Hinstock, TF9 2TE on Tuesday 26th     September 11.30am to 1pm for anyone interested. Please see the poster.

CAP MONEY COURSE: A free course to help you manage your money better and learn to budget, save and spend well. No matter what your financial situation is, the CAP Money Course can help. The CAP course offers vital life skills, so whether you are financially well-off or not, on benefits or in debt this course is for you!  The next course will be held at St John’s Muxton starting on Saturday 30th September at 11am. This free course takes place over 3 consecutive sessions and all resources and refreshments are also provided free of charge. (More information can be found at www.capmoneycourse.org).

CONFIRMATION SERVICE – BRING & SHARE LUNCH:  Please join us for a bring & share lunch after the Confirmation service at St John’s on Sunday 1st October 11am.  Lunch will be about 12.30pm….bring a plate of food to share.

WOMEN’S EVENING: St John’s are holding a women’s evening on Saturday 7th October 7.30pm. Tickets £5 to include supper and a glass of wine 670033.      

BRYN HAWORTH IN CONCERT: Bryn is an acclaimed slide guitarist and singer songwriter who has been delighting audiences with his own unique brand of rock, country and gospel blues for over 35 years.  He will be performing at St Michael’s on Saturday 14th October 7.30pm.  Tickets are £7 available from Angie Vann 606008 or Lesley 670033.

SHROPSHIRE CHURCHES DAY CONFERENCE is being hosted by the Bishop’s of Shrewsbury and Ludlow ‘A REASON FOR HOPE’ on 18th November 2017  (0930 Registration) taking place at Holy Trinity Centre Meole Brace with guest speaker Revd Dr  Michael Lloyd …for further details please look on www.trinitychurches.org/hope. GOOD MORNING SUNDAY at St John’s. Breakfast from 8.15-9.15am, the Sunday papers, conversation, prayer and reflection. (Not on the 5th Sunday).

WORSHIP, LUNCH & MUSIC takes place on the First Thursday of each month (except August) and every week during Lent. We begin with a service of Communion at noon followed by lunch and a recital.

A MEN’S BREAKFAST takes place on the second Saturday of each month 8.30am at The Whitehouse Hotel in Muxton.  Please let Simon T, Matthew or Lesley know you are coming.

PRAYERS FOR CAP: We continue to run a regular prayer time for the CAP Debt Centre, monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at St John’s in the Acorn Room 9am. 

FORGET ME NOT FILMS: Do you like watching old musicals while enjoying a cup of tea and a slice of cake?  If so, join us usually on the 4th Thursday of each month from 9.45am – 12noon. 

PATHFINDERS: School Years R-Y6. Meets every Thursday at 5pm during term time at St Michael’s. Tea served at 5.05pm.  Come and join the fun £2 per      session includes food. Email to help with catering.  

SPARK: meet during every Sunday service except Church Praze services. For ages 10+. Term time only. Please see Thom for further information.

BLAZE: A new mid week 11’s-14’s group. It takes place between 6-7:30pm on Wednesdays at Lilleshall memorial hall. Contact Thom for further details.

SUB:ZERO – cafe style youth club for School years 7+ at St John’s 4-6pm on Friday’s during term time. followed by ABSOLUTE:ZERO approx 5.30pm (during Sub:Zero)…..A chance to ask questions about God and about being a Christian…

FUSION: (14 – 18 year olds) will meet weekly at the home of Thom Foster 3A Fieldhouse Drive, Muxton. The meeting time is Sunday evenings 7.15 – 8.30pm during term time. We meet for Bible study, prayer and discussion. Call 670760 for info.
